BLACK STARS READY FOR TWO INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES AS 23 PLAYERS REPORT TO CAMP


The senior national team, the Black Stars are getting ready for the two international friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda respectively in Marrakech, Morocco.

Precisewebgh can confirm that 23 players have so far reported to camp and trained on Wednesday 20, March 2024 in Marrakech at the sports city training facility in Morocco.


The two international friendlies scheduled for Friday 22 and Tuesday 26 March, 2024 has seen new coach Otto Addo and his backroom staff put plans and strategies in place to pin down Nigeria once again since the technical team arrived in Morocco on Monday.


Thirteen (13) players earlier reported to camp before the rest of the squad joined their colleagues on Tuesday evening with excitement and determination on their faces to make a fresh start with the hope of giving out a positive results and performance that will bring the joy and love back from Ghanaian fans after the team’s abysmal performance in the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

New coach Otto Addo and his deputy Lauman will use the international friendlies to assess his players as he wish to build a strong and solid Black Stars team ahead of the world cup qualifiers in June and other international games.


Unfortunately, Monaco defender Mohammed Salisu and Black Stars talisman Mohammed Kudus couldn’t join the team due to varied injuries and in their absence new players have been called up to replace them.

Players currently in camp include; Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Frederick Asare, Jojo Wollacot, Tariq Lamptey, Kassim Nuhu, Jerome Opoku, Patrick Kpodzo, Alidu Siedu, Forson Amankwaah and Dennis Odoi.

The rest are Jordan Ayew, Osman Bukari, Ernest Nuamah, Dede Ayew, Osman Ibrahim, Ebenezer Annan, Edmund Addo, Francis Abu, Baba Iddrisu, Antoine Semenyo, Abdul Samed Salis, Fatawu Issahaku and Abdulau Nurudeen.

Black Stars will first play the Super Eagles on Friday 22 March, 2024 at the Grande de Stade, Marrakech in Morocco before taking on Uganda two days after.
