Chelsea Fail to Reach Agreement With Mount Over His Contact Extension

Chelsea Football Club are yet to reach an agreement with Mason Mount over his contract extension, even though both parties are keen to continue working together, our sources revealed.
Blues co-owner Todd Boehly has been working to secure Mason Mount’s future since last summer, but talks with the midfielder have proven challenging.
However, the sources revealed that Mount does want to stay at Chelsea but he is eyeing a contract that reflects his status as a regular starter in the club, while he also wants clarity on Chelsea’s plans for the future.
So far, no agreement has been reached yet but communication lines remains open between Mount and Chelsea with club management working tirelessly to put together the best proposal for Mount who is considered an integral part of Chelsea’s future.
Alongside Mount, other players like Mateo Kovacic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic all have less than two years to end their contact with the club.
