
Top Chief to Grace 47th SWAG Awards

One of the highly respected Sub Chiefs in the Ashanti Kingdom Nana Prah Agyensaim VI has been called upon as the Special Guest of Honor for the upcoming 47th SWAG Awards night on 28 January, 2023 at the International Conference Center in Accra.
The Paramount Chief of Assin Kushea, agreed to grace the occasion after the Executives of the Sports Writer’s Association of Ghana (SWAG) had called on him to seek for his presence at the oldest and the biggest sports awards event in Ghana.
The topmost sporting award event in the country (SWAG Awards), has over the years been graced by very important dignitaries in Ghana and beyond. Some of the includes Ex President J.A Kuffour, Ex President J.E.A Mills, President Akuffo Addo, Vice President Dr Bawumia, the Ashanti King-Otumfuo Osei Tutu, Nzemamanli Chief Awulae Brukutsu, Togbe Afede, the Osu Mantse and other foreign ambassadors have all once graced the occasion as special guest of honor.
This year, over 40 sports men and women are expected to be crowned on the night with Abraham Mensah, Joseph Paul Amoah, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Dede Ayew all vying for the sports personality and footballer of the year awards respectively.
A leading Ghanaian mining firm Adamus Resources Limited and the biggest telecommunication network in Ghana MYN are the major sponsors for the event.
