Hughton Name Squad For Ghana-Angola Battle

Newly appointed Black Stars Coach Chris Hughton has named a 25-man squad for Ghana’s home and away game against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The former technical director of the Black Stars has invited some players in his call ups who were otherwise not considered by former coach Otto Addo.
Some of the included players are Edmund Addo, Patrick Kpodzo, Majeed Ashimeru, Ransford Yeboah Konigsdoffer and Joseph Paintsil with Jojo Wollacot making his way back into the squad after a long injury lay off before the World Cup in Qatar.

The Ex Brighton & Hove Albion manager will play his first game in charge as head coach for Black Stars as the team prepare to host the Palancas Negras of Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium this month in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations slated in Cote D’Ivoire in January 2024.
