Hearts of Oak Management Are Flippant – Annor Walker

Former Great Olympics trainer Annor Walker has branded the management of Accra Hearts of oak as ‘Flippant’ in the way the former Africa champion is been managed.
Walker criticised the management of the ‘Rainbow’ club for recruiting players ahead of the appointment of a new coach. Hearts has been in the hunt for a new coach since the departure of coach Slavko Matic.
The veteran coach, who was recently linked to the Hearts job, believe the approach been adopted by the administrators of the club are wrong and rather thinks a coach should be appointed first to allow him to recruit his preferred players for the season.
However, Walker in an interview has watered down rumours linking him to the ‘Phobian family’ ahead of the impending league season.
“I never had conversations with Hearts of Oak. Nobody called me. People were saying I can’t do the job but I didn’t want to talk. This is the right time for me to speak out”.
He continued, “It was Vincent Odotei who sent me a WhatsApp message requesting for my C.V and I did it. I called him after two weeks to check up but he told me they were having a meeting with the players. I didn’t hear from him again but I asked him later and he said they will get back to me. Up till date… My first conversation with Odotei was on 7th June and I have not heard from him till today.
“There’s no truth about whatever they were saying. I just don’t want to talk. We are all matured and you can’t expose someone. I haven’t written to Hearts that I want a job,” he concluded.
Walker, has since joined his former club Accra Great Olympics after mutually terminating his contract with FC Samartex.
