
SPORTS MINISTER EULOGISE GAF AND GRACE MINTA FOR MAKING GHANA PROUD AT THE WORLD STAGE

Minister for Youth and Sports Hon. Mustapha Ussif has praised the Ghana Armwrestling Federation(GAF) and Police officer, Grace Minta for raising the flag of Ghana high at the recently held World Armwrestling Championship in Moldova.
The Hon. Minister couldn’t hide his joy and admiration when the Federation led by its president Charles Osei Asibey paid a courtesy call on him at his office to present the gold medal won by Grace at the World Championships.
In his address, Hon. Ussif, praised the World Champion, Grace Minta and the Armwrestling Federation for the consistent results the federation keep earning for Ghana at every competition the body participates in. He noted that, the Golden Arms always deliver on their promises to make the nation proud and as a sports Minister he takes delight in the achievements of the federation since its inception.
Hon. Mustapha, therfore, tasked the other sports federations to take a cue from the Armwrestling Federation to work with the Security Services for sports development and promotion in Ghana.
The Sports Minister, however, on Tuesday, September 3, welcomed Police Woman Grace Minta together with other members of the federation to his office to present the gold medal won in Moldova a few days ago.
Grace made herself and Ghana proud at the World stage for becoming the first Ghanaian to win gold medal at the World Armwrestling Championship, a feat she will relish for a long time to come.
