Hughton Name 24-Man Squad For Ghana-Madagascar Game

Chris Hughton has announced a 24-man squad for Ghana versus Madagascar away game on 18 June, 2023 at Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion coach invited about 95 percent of most of the players from his previous call-ups since he was appointed as Black Stars coach with the exception of Mohamed Salisu, Antoine Semenyo and Tariq Lamptey who were all not invited into the squad due to varied injuries.

However, France based defender Nicholas Opoku who has played most matches for Amiens this season in the French ligue2, playing 33 games and completing 29 with one assist to his credit was given another chance to prove his merit for his inability to play a part in Ghana’s earlier game against Angola.
On the other hand, young and dazzling attacking winger Ernest Nuamah who has been in-top form for Nordjiland was also given his first call up into the Senior National team under coach Chris Hughton.

Ghana Black Stars are in group E’ alongside Angola, Central African Republic and they will be seeking to defeat another group opponent Madagascar at their own backyard to extend their lead on the table.
