
HEARTS OF OAK TO PLAY HEART OF LIONS IN ‘GBESE MANTSE’ CHARITY CUP

Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayi Bonte II, has had engagement with the Media ahead of ‘Gbese Mantse’ Charity Cup set to take place on Sunday, 11 August, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The game between the two premier league clubs-Accra Hearts of Oak and Kpando Heart of Lions forms part of the celebration of the Homowo festival and to also honor the ‘Gbese Mantse’ Nii Ayi Bonte II.
Both clubs have however expressed their interest and readiness to engage in a mouth-watering encounter on the field of play come Sunday.
Hearts of Oak’s Coach, Aboubakar Ouattara and Bashiru Hayford of Hearts of Lions also urged fans to come and witness a beautiful game with both coaches promising having a strategy to win on Sunday.
Nii Gbese II, seized the opportunity to invite the Suppoters of Accra Hearts of Oak and Kpando Hearts of oak to come in their numbers to support their teams and promised to be there as well.
At stake is a golden boot to be awarded to the most exciting player. The Charity Cup will be preceded by a colts football to entertain the fans followed with a special selected Nii Ayi Bonte XI comprising family and friends versus the British High Commission Football Team encounter before the main game will be played.
However, the main game starts at 3.30pm and both clubs are expected to feature newly signed on players like goalkeeper Ben Asare now a Phobian who urged fans to come and watch the game, promising to show his qualities in a spectacular style.
Meanwhile, organizers of the charity match have outlined suitable measures to ensure a successful hosting of the event. The Accra Sports Stadium is expected to be filled with enthusiastic fans to cheer on their favorite teams.
Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions have a long-standing rivalry, and this match promises to be a thrilling encounter. The match also serves as an opportunity for the teams to prepare for the upcoming league season.
The ‘Gbese Mantse’ Charity Cup is an annual event that brings together football fans and the community to celebrate the Homowo festival. It should be noted that, the gate fee is fixed at 10ghc for popular stand, 20ghc for regular. 100ghc for VIP and 200ghc for VVIP at the stadium.
