Chelsea Ready to Release Aubameyang But Not For Free

Chelsea Football Club are keen to let go of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer but has informed interested clubs that they won’t allow the player to go for free.

Aubameyang was signed by Chelsea last summer from Barcelona for a fee of £12million, and the player has since managed only 21 appearances for the club in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

Both Chelsea and Aubameyang are willing to part ways this summer, as the former Barcelona forward was part of the players who was first offered for sale to some Saudi Arabian clubs.

However, latest sources of information has revealed that, Marseille has expressed interest to sign the 34-year old Gabonese international, but the Ligue 1 side have been informed that they must pay a fee and agree to take over Aubameyang’s entire wage package.

Meanwhile, some clubs in Saudi Arabia are prepared to meet the demands of both Chelsea and the player but the striker is unwilling to accept a move to the Middle East with the hope that a top European club could offer him a deal.

Agents of Aubameyang continue to explore their options and hope to strike a deal soon for the player. Interestingly, Pochettino and the rest of the Chelsea squad are already in the United States for their pre-season tour without Aubameyang.
