QATAR 2022: Football Underdogs Saudi, Shock Favorite Argentina

World football Underdogs Saudi Arabia on Tuesday shocked football giant’s and one of the favorites of the tournament Argentina in the ongoing 2022 FIFA world cup in Qatar.

Saudi Arabia defeated Argentina 2-1 in their group C’ opener at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, in Lusail-Qatar.

Lionel Messi got the opener for the Argentines in the 10th minutes through a spot kick. Meanwhile, a second goal from Lautaro Martinez on the 28th minute was unfortunately ruled off-side by the VAR.
However, Saudi Arabia came into the game strongly in the early part of second half to get the equalizer on the 49th minute through Saleh Al-Shehri. On the 53rd minute, Salem Al-Dawsari scored a beautiful goal to make it two for the Saudi’s.

Saudi Arabia, coached by master tactician Herve Reinar ended the 36 unbeaten run of Argentina who are the toughest opponent in the group C’.

Argentina fought back earnestly to equalize but goalkeeper Mohamed Alowais who was in post for Saudi Arabia stood in between the Argentine attackers from scoring. He made five(5) saves on the day the highest so far in the tournament and was awarded Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
