Arsenal Show Keen Interest to Sign Ghana International

English premiership side Arsenal has expressed the club desire to sign Ghanaian international Joseph Paintsil from Genk.

The 2022/23 English Premier League runners-up Arsenal has reportedly sent scouts to monitor the Black Stars attacking winger at his club level and got satisfied with the qualities of the player.

The 25-year old player has bagged 18 goals in all competitions this season, providing 12 assists in 39 games as his club side KRC Genk finished second in the Jupiler Pro League.

Paintsil have attracted interests from many clubs including Fulham and Everton from the premiership as well as other clubs from the Spanish and the Italian league.

According to reports scouts from Arsenal were present at the Jan Breydel Stadium a fortnight ago to have a closer look and a fair assessment of the player. The scouts however, got impressed with the technical qualities and the skills set of the Ghanaian as he scored a brace in a game his club KRC Genk won by 3 goals to 1.

The former Tema Youth player has spent four seasons with his current club and move away from Genk to Arsenal or any other club in the transfers window this season is highly possible based on the number of clubs chasing for his signature.
