Ronaldo Fail’s to Make it to Saudi Pro League Team of The Season

Former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo could not make it to the Saudi Pro League Team of the season when it was announced when the league ended in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo who currently play’s for Al-Nassr missed out on a spot in the Saudi Pro League Team of the Season based on his output comparative to other attacking players in the Saudi league.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023, scoring 14 goals in 16 games for the club, who placed second in the league standings after a defeat to eventual champions Al-Ittihad in March.

The Portuguese striker arrived midway through the season, finishing fifth in the division’s scoring charts but that wasn’t enough to earn him a place in the Saudi Pro League Team of the Season.

However, Al-Hilal striker Odion Ighalo who netted 19 goals in 27 games for Al-Nassr rivals Al-Hilal was chosen ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s desire to secure a spot in the Team of the Season next year will be under threat again with the arrival Karim Benzema, who has already announced leaving Real Madrid to join Pro League champions Al-Ittihad next season.
