Ghana’s qualification, will be Ayew’s third World Cup appearance, having previously featured at the 2014 and 2022 tournaments respectively. He picks up from where his senior brother Andre Dede Ayew left off, when he led the Black Stars to the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.

It all began with the legendary Abedi Pele the trailblazer, who led Ghana to a number of Afcon tournaments, followed by their uncles Kwame Ayew, Solar Ayew and then the children Rahim Aye, Dede Ayew and lastly Jordan with more grand children of Abedi Pele set to follow suit.

The 34-year-old Jordan Ayew, has so far contributed 32 goals for the Black Stars in 114 appearances since making his senior national team debut in 2010.
