AMPEM DARKOA LADIES CROWNED MALTA GUINNESS WOMEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE NORTHERN ZONE CHAMPIONS

The dominance of Ampem Darkoa Ladies continues to reign as they have once again won the Northern Zone title of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League for the fourth successive time, setting up a final playoff clash with Police Ladies.

The Techiman-based club clinched the zonal championship as early as matchday 17 of the competition, with a three-point difference. Their closest challengers, Dreamz Ladies, stumbled to a 2-1 loss to Supreme Ladies, while Ampem Darkoa Ladies also succumbed 2-1 to Fosu Royal Ladies on Matchday 18.

Regardless, the Nanamma finished the campaign with 12 wins, one draw, and five defeats, accruing 37 points to top the table.

Meanwhile, Ampem Darkoa Ladies now set a date with the newly crowned Southern Zonal Champions, Police Ladies, in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League final to be played in the month of May.
