TEAM GHANA, READY TO SHINE AT THE INAUGRAL AFRICAN SCHOOL GAMES IN ALGERIA

As the countdown begins for the maiden editipn of African School Games, Algeria 2025, Ghana’s contingent of young athletes are geared up to make their mark on the continent.
The games scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 5, 2025, will see Ghana representing fully as this highly anticipated event will bring together talented students from across Africa to compete in various sporting disciplines.

Ghana’s team will participate in eleven (11) exciting sports disciplines, including boxing, basketball, cycling, swimming, badminton, table tennis, beach canoe, taekwondo, judo, beach volleyball, and tennis. With their sights set on victory, these young athletes have been training tirelessly to showcase their skills and represent their country with pride.

The Games will be held in four vibrant cities in Algeria: namely, Annaba, Skikda, Constantine, and Setif. Each city will provide a unique backdrop for the competitions, and the athletes are eager to experience the warm hospitality of the Algerian people.

With TeamGhana’s motto, “We Dare to Win”, as their energising mantra, Ghana’s athletes are determined to excel to bring glory to the nation. As they take to the fields, courts, and tracks, TeamGhana will be fueled by their passion for sports and their desire to make their country proud.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Olympic Committee has expressed its full support for the team, wishing them the best of luck in the competitions. As the nation cheers them on, these young athletes will strive to make their mark in the history books of African school sports.
