Boxing promoter Ivan Bruce Cudjoe officially declares to contest for GBA President.

Accra based boxing promoter, lvan Bruce-Cudjoe has officially declared his desire to contest for the upcoming presidency of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA).
Mr. Bruce-Cudjoe who is also an astute businessman believes the time is now for his ambition to lead Ghana’s pro boxing governing body to take effect at the GBA elective Congress in July.
“l have officially picked forms to run for the Ghana Boxing Authority presidency. l wish to state that l am ready to lead us all in to a new era of growth, professionalism and global excellence,” he told a press conference in Accra on Friday.
He revealed that his move is an acceptance of the call of many Ghanaian boxing insiders to rescue the sport from chronic failure which has rendered Ghana without a boxing world champion since 2019.
My ultimate goal is to produce a world champion within the first four-year mandate,” he pledged.
“l am committed to expanding boxing beyond Accra by working with the National Sports Authority (NSA) to establish standard gyms across all 16 regions. It’s my ultimate dream that national champions will emerge from nationwide competitions, strengthening the sport across Ghana,” Mr. Bruce Cudjoe said.
“l will also work with stakeholders to appoint retired boxers as mentors, push for a welfare scheme for all stakeholders and host stakeholders conferences and workshops to tackle industry challenges. Best of all, l will also work with global boxing bodies through appointed special envoys, ensuring Ghana remains competitive internationally,” he assured.
In conclusion, the ‘IBC for GBA President’ campaign appeals to delegates and stakeholders to support the vision of Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe for a stronger, fairer, and globally competitive boxing industry as GBA election is approaching come July 12 at the Mudor Conference Hall of the Bukom Boxing Arena.
“Together, let’s reset Ghana Boxing, and build an authority that champions its people and inspires the next generation to rise the flag of Ghana higher in the global boxing stage,” Mr. Bruce-Cudjoe affirmed.
