Black Stars coach, Otto Addo has called up six new players to strengthen his team for Ghana’s last two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with Angola and Niger.
Otto Addo last week named a 25-man squad which included Tariq Lamptey of Brighton And Hove Albion, Inaki Williams (Athletico Bilbao), Joseph Paintsil (LA Galaxy), Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth), Ibrahim Osman, Jerome Opoku (Istanbul Basakshir) Jonas Adjetey and Alexander Djiku. Unfortunately, these players have all failed to turn up due to varied reasons, whilst others too, were as a result of injuries.
Meanwhile, in their absence the following players have been called to replace them for the last round of games. They include, Osman Bukari (Austin FC), Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer (Hamburger SV), Forson Amankwah (Norwich City), Terry Yegbe (IF Elfsborg), Ebenezer Annan (OFK Beograd) and Kingsley Schindler (Samsunspor).
Ghana will play Angola on Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Estadio 11 De Novembro in Luanda and host Niger on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium in a game where many football enthusiasts have no hope for Ghana qualifying to the next Afcon in Morocco.
The Black Stars trained today at the Accra Sports Stadium and training resumes tomorrow at the same venue as the team prepares for the last two hurdle.
