
HUGHTON SEND’S A 55-MAN PROVISIONAL SQUAD TO CAF FOR JANUARY 2024 AFCON

Ghana’s head coach Chris Hughton has released a 55-man provisional list to CAF for next month’s AFCON to be hosted in La Cote D’Ivoire.
The squad which is made of some new inclusions such as Brandon-Thomas Asante from WestBrom in the Championship and few others based outside will later be pruned down to a final 24 players who will represent Ghana at the Nations Cup.
Meanwhile eleven (11) home-based players made up of five players from Medeama, two from Great Olympics, two from Dreams FC, one each from Asante Kotoko and Nations FC respectively were also named in the 55-man provisional squad sent to CAF.
The 2023 AFCON which will be hosted by La Cote D’Ivoire is set to begin on January 13 to February 11, 2024. Ghana is in group ‘B alongside Egypt, Mozambique, and Cape Verde.
