The Ghana Cycling Federation today met with the media at the premises of GOC to brief them on how to promote the 2025 edition of Tour du Ghana and additionally the necessary mileage expected from the media to the sponsors of the event.
At the media engagement, the General Secretary of the Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF) Shabaan Mohammed urged the media to report accurately and factually by using the appropriate language and terminologies that are associated with cycling activities. He stated that, with less than two weeks to the event, organisers, sponsors and cyclists are ready to paddle for glory and fame.
“This is the 10th edition of the glamorous event and this year will showcase some of the tourism attractions in Ghana”.

According to him, the tour will commence with arrival of officials and guests from the Netherlands, USA, Togo, Nigeria, Benin, Burkina Faso and Morocco who replaced South Africa after opting out.
The participating countries are expected to arrive in Ghana on November 13 and 14, 2025. The event will kick-start with the flagging, by His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama at the Black Star Square in Accra.
The cyclists will however, ride through to Ada, Ho, Hohoe, Aflao, Dambai, Jasikan and back to Accra, and finish at Ablekuma.

Meanwhile, this year’s event is been sponsored by Prudential Life Insurance, MTN, Asa Plus, THB, Twellium Ghana Ltd, DHL Global, Stanbic Bank, Dot.Ateliers and in partnership with the government of Ghana, Ghana Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, National Sports Authority, Ghana Tourism Authority and under the auspices of the Paramount Chief of Akwamu Kotoi.
Shabaan Mohammed expressed his gratitude to the government of Ghana and the Black Star Experience Secretariat for their timely support and motivation.
