Sala Score a Milestone Goal in a Liverpool Win Over Brentford

Mohammed Sala made yet another record in his football career as he scored the only goal for Liverpool in a home win over stubborn Brentford.

The 1-0 win over Brentford push’s Liverpool closer to the Premier League top four position as only a point gap differentiate them and Manchester United.

The atmosphere at Anfield charged the moment Salah scored with yet another milestone goal in his career at Liverpool.

The Egyptian 13th-minute finish was far from his classiest, requiring two touches from four yards to bundle home Virgil van Dijk’s header and that was significant for being his 100th goal at Anfield. He also became the first Liverpool player to score in nine successive home matches in all competitions.

His statistics continue to rise as that was the third in a successive season – and fourth in six season. Sala had reached 30 in a campaign season and it took him level with Steven Gerrard in fifth place on the club’s all-time goalscoring list with 186.

Saturday’s victory is also a sixth successive win that moved Liverpool within a point of fourth-placed Manchester United and three away from Newcastle in third position.
