President Akuffo Addo Visit Black Stars Ahead Of Portugal Game

The President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo left the shores of Ghana yesterday to visit the black Stars ahead of Ghana’s world cup open game with Portugal.

As part of his planned schedule the president will be in attendance at Stadium 974 this afternoon to witness Black Stars game against Portugal in their group ‘H’ opener of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The president was accompanied to Qatar by his press secretary, personal aid and other important dignitaries aboard Qatar airways. They were received on arrival at Hamad International Airport by the Director of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, H E Ibrahim bin Yousif Fakhro and the Ambassador of Ghana to Qatar Mohamed H E Noureddine Ismail.

His Excellency this morning paid a special visit to the Black Stars camp amist cheers and joy to motivate the players ahead of this afternoon’s cagey encounter with favorite Portugal.

His arrival is expected to serve as a moral booster to Coach Otto Addo and his team who are tagged as underdogs in the tournament.

Ghana’s other group opponent Uruguay and South Korea will face off earlier today as Black Stars will have it eye on that game to know the strength of it’s next opponent.
