‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe, has extolled Robeisy Ramirez for his fighting qualities after the Ghanaian was heavily defeated in a WBO featherweight title bout.
Isaac Dogboe (25-3, 16 KOs), before the bout, was hopeful of becoming a Two-Division world champion, but his hope’s were dashed after he was beaten by the Cuban boxer to annex the WBO featherweight title.
Ramirez (12-1, 7 KOs), took control of the fight from the early stages with his fighting skills to subdue the fighting threats of Dogboe who had no antidotes to excessive pressure from the Cuban.
Dogboe after the fight apologized to his coach and the fans for disappointing them and assured of his come back soon.
He said in an interview, “I fell short tonight. Congratulations to Robeisy Ramirez, he’s a terrific fighter. He’s a great guy. I was the aggressor [but] I guess I wasn’t aggressive enough.
“I guess I couldn’t push enough as we all would have loved me to push but I’ll be back.”
The score cards in the twelve (12) rounds by the judges were unanimous, scoring it 117-110, 118-109, 119-108 all in favour of Ramirez, who now claims the vacant WBO featherweight title.
