Ghana Armwrestling Federation Organize Seminar For Coaches, Referees etc

Officials of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation on Wednesday organized a special seminar for coaches, referees, media, table recorders and game managers.

The one day seminar, which took place at the media center of the Accra sports stadium was well attended by many with representatives from the academia, the police, the military, fire service, the media, pullers from various Armwrestling camps across the region and president of Togo Armwrestling Federation.

In his opening address, the founder of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation who doubles as the president of Africa Armwrestling Federation and World vice president Mr Charles Osei Asibey, encouraged and adviced all attendees to take the sports serious. He added that, Armwrestling is the best sports for every athlete to engage in since it opens and offers opportunity for those who put in every effort.

World referee panel member and head of referees in Africa Mr Hussein Addy Akuetei took to the floor to explain into detail the technicalities involved in Armwrestling, the rudiments in Armwrestling refereeing, procedure for table recordings etc to the admiration of all.
A certificate was however awarded to person who attended the seminar.

The Ghana Armwrestling Federation was founded in 2016 and has so far won 174 medals in four Africa Championships a feat most other sports federations in the country have not reached or are yet to attain.
