Chris Hughton Speak Highly Of The USA Team Ahead Of International Friendly With Ghana

Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has spoken highly of the USA national team ahead of tonight’s international friendly with Ghana in Nashville.

Ghana national team coach acknowledged the United States of America team, saying, it is a good side and they(Black Stars) are very much aware of the quality of the Yankees as the two sides prepare for Wednesday’s international friendly at the GEODIS Park in Nashville-USA

The Black Stars lost 0-2 to Mexico on Sunday 15 October, 2023 as the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager did not hide his disappointment in the team’s performance in a post match press conference in what he described as “poor defensive goals conceded by his team.”

Ahead of the game tonight, Hughton stated in an interview that, “I think the challenges are quite obvious. We are up against a very good team that has got good experience with very good ranking and of course playing at home. We have watched a lot of games, we watched the recent game against Germany and I think it was a game of two halves.”

“The USA did really good particularly in the first half but of course up against a very good and experienced German team. So we know the challenges are high and this is the reason why we are here. We had a very challenging game of course on Saturday.”

He continued, “In the first half of the game, we competed and competed very well and conceded two poor goals but you can’t do that against that type of quality. So yes, the challenges will be high but that is exactly why we are here.”

The Black Stars will be eager to make amends tonight against the Yankees after their poor showing with Mexico last weekend.
