CHRIS HUGHTON INCLUDE’S THREE HOME BASED PLAYERS IN A 27-MAN SQUAD FOR THE 2023 AFCON


Ghana’s head coach Chris Hughton today named a 27-man for the 2023 African Cup of Nations to be hosted in La Cote D’Ivoire this month.

At a press conference held this morning at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, the coach included three home based players in his squad. The players are Richmond Lamptey a midfielder from Asante Kotoko, Hamidu Abdul Fatawu-defender, and Jonathan Sowah- Striker both from Medeama SC.


The tournament which kick off in less than two weeks from today, will see Ghana play it’s first game against Cape Verde on 14 January, 2024 at Stade Felix Houphouet Stadium in Abidjan.
