
ARMWRESTLING: GOLD ARMS MAKE STRIDES AGAIN AS DUO GRAB DOUBLE GOLD IN TOGO CHAMPIONSHIP

The significant achievements of the Golden Arms still goes unnoticed, as the team has once again shined and made Ghana proud in an Armwrestling Championship recently held in Togo.
Ghana’s youth and dynamic Armwrestlers, Blessed Naa Abeka Nunoo, Henry Otoo and Daniel Acquah on Saturday displayed super proficient and adept Armwrestling skills to secure impressive wins in the prestigious De Fin Dannee Armwrestling event at Au Stade Municipal de Lome in Togo.
The championship brought together over 200 pullers from Togo, Benin, Ghana, and Nigeria in various weight categories to compete.
World’s No.5 and Africa’s No.1 in the Youth 60kg Women category, Blessed Naa Abeka Nunoo, delivered a stunning performance at the event. Despite being significantly lighter, she defeated two formidable Togolese pullers Ako Assoli (86kg) and Charite Nukunu (94kg) in the finals to win Gold.
On the other hand, Henry Otoo and Daniel Acquah also put up an impressive shows, battling their way to clash at the finals of where they both won Gold and Silver respectively in the Men 70Kg.
In a quick flash back, the Golden Arms won a total of 41 medals (ie 8 gold, 19 silver and 14 silver) in total to save Ghana from winning less medals at the last 13th African Games held in Accra-Ghana.
